Hello Earth! A little introduction 🌍

Hello there :> I’m Hannah, I’m 20-ish, and I’m currently studying Mechatronics and Information Technologies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. When I’m not trying to survive university, I’m usually coding, reading, writing, taking photos, or finding something new to tinker with.

This website started for a very practical reason: I didn’t want the domain in my email address to lead to an empty page. But since you’re here, I thought I might as well introduce myself. And, whenever motivation strikes, this could become a place to share projects, little discoveries, and things I’ve been working on.

Code, circuits, and a little curiosity

I like making things, sometimes useful things, sometimes things that are just fun to build. My programming interests include Rust, C, and Python, and I also work with Raspberry Pi systems and Microcontroller and PCB development at a small electronics company.

Outside work and university, I enjoy experimenting with Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, and ESP32s, working on small projects like this website, and gradually deepening my programming skills. I use NixOS and Arch, so you could say tinkering occasionally extends to the operating system itself.

Some evil people, mostly me, would call me a nerd. If I’m in a good mood, I might agree. 😄

Open source is something I really enjoy, both through publishing my own projects and contributing to other people’s work. I’ve gathered some experience in the AI space, but I’d love to explore more robotics and spaceflight in the future. AI in robotics, autonomous systems, space exploration, and microsatellites are all things that catch my attention. I’d also like to get back into game programming a little more.

Away from the keyboard

Not all my hobbies involve debugging, thankfully.

I love reading, especially sci-fi, fantasy, young adult fiction, and nonfiction. I also enjoy writing poetry, short stories, and nonfiction of my own. Photography is another interest of mine, and a good reason to step away from the screen for a while.

When I’m gaming, I tend to gravitate toward sci-fi, strategy, simulation, and games that let me build things or get creative. Apparently, making things is a recurring theme.

And sometimes, the best project is simply cooking something good. Vegetarian food and a little time to relax are a pretty nice combination. :)

What you might find here

I don’t have a grand plan for this blog. For now, it’s a small personal corner of the internet. Over time, I might share programming projects, electronics experiments, photographs, bits of writing, or whatever else I feel like putting into words.

Say hello

If you’d like to get in touch, you can email me at hello@rennersh.de, though reaching out through socials might be easier.

You can find me on GitHub, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great day! 🌟
